Darkwood
(Pirated game) PC Crash from Darkwood
I'm sorry I pirated the game, but I currently don't have enough money to buy it, and I really wanted to play this beautiful game you have worked so hard to make! So I've downloaded the torrent you put up on pirate bay but the problem is after playing a couple minutes ranging from 5-20, my entire PC crashes from playing Darkwood. The game freezes my entire PC and I have to restart it every time. Please help! If this problem is fixed I can buy the game.

Moved this to the Bug Report board. Does the Bug Report board not show up underneath the Discussion board on the right side of the screen when looking at the main forum page?

Edit: Moved back due to ongoing complications.

It does, even when logged out.

@vittau I think you are right. Do you know how to check temperature? This problem has been happening recently as well. Did not happen when I got the game 4 days ago.
I normally use HWiNFO[www.fosshub.com] to check temps. "HWiNFO64 Installer" is probably the one you want.

So I used it, and in the small window when it opens my 4 cpu cores are there, and it seems that all 4 are in the yellow zones from me doing nothing on the PC. Does that mean anything?
And here's the link to Event Viewer Log at the time of the Darkwood crash. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jox70ud2vncv9yw/Darkwood%20Crash.evtx?dl=0
You can't pirate a game the owner willing gives out for free. You just downloaded a game on a well known pirate site.

Ok. Thanks?
Your computer might be over-heating and shutting down cause it's too filled with dust and other stuff. Might need to open it up and use canned air to clean it out. Unless other games aren't doing this either.

Do you have this problem with any other games, ever?
Is it a certain event in the game or a certain amount of time before it crashes?
@Vulpes Velox Overwatch says Rendering Device is lost after playing for a while, just like Darkwood. So I'm certain that you are correct. And the time it takes to crash isn't specific, because it ranges from anywhere around 5-20 minutes. Overwatch can last a bit longer from 20 minutes to an hour. Also i checked the temperature of my computer when running darkwood and it goes to almost 70 degrees.

ironically i wanted to pirate 1.0 alpha to check it out if it works if it good cause no much gameplay online... but decided to find a trader who will buy it for me and il trade for digital items that has stable currency... so yeah indie early access games are 75% worht it they get better and better overtime so you not only support the devs but also auto bookmark for updates rather then work on unupdatable version... so i got a retail one instead. Devs you could make either a demo thats a single biome the easy one and max duration 1 week or 7 ingame nights / days

What is 70ºC, your CPU or GPU? It's high for a CPU, but acceptable for a GPU.
What is your hardware? Are your drivers updated (especially video driver)?

@Vittau it was my gpu that I measured using afterburner, but I managed to fix the issue! It no longer crashes. Cleaned my PC out from the dust and like magic the game didn't crash my PC. Im still scared of not only the game but my PC as well because sometimes it freezes for a split second, not often though.

@Vittau though I still have a question. How to use that software HWiNFO64? How do I read my CPU tempurature?
