Wedding set piece
Has anyone found the 'new'? (maybe?) wedding area in the dry meadow?
I can't seem to find ANY info about it ANYWHERE and its very creepy and strange.
There's a smallish cornfield that you trek through to eventually get to a combine, near the combine is a house with a chained dog outfront.
If you kill the dog you can access a yard with a bunch of tables made out like there was a celebration (A wedding) and VERY creepy music and ghost sounds.
There's a house after the yard with more tables in it and it sounds like a head banging mob behind a locked door that requires a code.
I haven't been able to find any info on what piece of paper/code unlocks this door and there isn't any loot in the area that I've been able to find except a well with a rope.

Anyone else find this place?

Also of note, it always seems to rain if you visit this setpiece.

At first I thought it was like one of those mysterious locations that have some kind of link to the story without anything much actually happening there (kinda like the Brook location)..

..I figured there was perhaps some kind of hidden event there that I was missing or failing to trigger, or I had to go back there at a later point in the game (I forgot there was a coded door there).

The devs recently confirmed that It will be a significant location in the games full release.. which is pretty exciting.

So for now it's just a location, it's locked out of the main story until the 17th Aug (when the Epilogue will be added also)..

..I guess upon full release it will have story elements incorporated (and the interior will become accessible).

Oh, I see.
The area is very spooky and unsettling.

Devs mentioned in Beta 3, or 3.1, that Dry Meadow now has new area, which will be closed until release. I bet, wedding is this location.

Two things i noticed:
1: Flowers lead through the corn field infront of the first wedding house. It seems to be nothing in there, but its a clear track that enters one side and leaves the other.
I assume something like this: Someone took the harvester, crashed through one house, hit the electric pole or tree next to the field, then left the harvester and entered the field, left it on the other side to enter the Darkwood. Maybe. Pro about this: A: the first house is crashed with a big bracket similar to the size of the harvester. B: the flower trace is clear at the harvester but spreads on the other side of the field (as if someone dropped the trace and it got spread by the wind). C: it seems to have been a woman, as it would be logical, its called wedding, there are traces of a planed festival. My bet is, the bride had to leave the wedding in a hurry, jumped the harvester to escape (with her flowers in the hand), ran through the field, then when free dropped her flowers and ran into the woods.
Contra: i cant figure out why a harvester machine would stand in the festival area in any way, which it would have to, to be able to crash through the house.

2: when you get to the side of the Wedding where the map ends, you can see an area that leads from behind the house that you cant enter, through another corn field to somewhere else.
Maybe its an area that you enter to get through and out of Darkwood?

My further assumption in general:
Its a wedding site, a planned festival with desks in a farm. The bride left the wedding with her flowers and left a trace through the corn field. She left her husband in the house that you cant enter (hence him hammering the door). I doubt though, that hes still a normal human being, and rather a mad/savage/undead whatever creature.
I assume you will get the code at the end, you will enter and have to face the former husband, to get then through the house, the backdoor and leave the area through a cornfield to finish the game.
Its likely that you will find the bride in Darkwood and obtain the code from her.

I guess we'll all find out tomorrow BUT(spoilers ahead):

1. Chicken Lady's sister/prisoner, whom the Musician wants to marry (possible hint) actually has a wedding ring in her safe (definite hint).

2. Clearly the wedding didn't happen. This no doubt has something to do with the grotesque nature of the Chicken Lady's sister/Pretty Lady. Perhaps whatever 'happened', happened just prior to this wedding (or even as it was taking place).

3. The harvester near the Wedding site appears in Chapter 2, seemingly having broken through the trees. Not sure how relevant this is, or if it is even another harvester altogether (if I remember correctly it is just sticking out of one edge of the map, implying that it was used to cut a path).

4. Wolf wants the Pretty Lady (by all implications to eat as that's how we find her in the Barn). He also has a fake wedding ring in the Barn. Perhaps he was the husband? At the very least hte fake wedding ring implies he was involved in some way. Perhaps what-ever 'happened' centres around the Pretty Lady and Wolf who seem to have completely changed in form (Wolf becoming a, well, wolf - and the Pretty Lady becoming some grotesque, obese monstrosity).

5. We know that the 'Shiny Stones' seem to transform people as the Savages worship them, I remember some speech about them being in people's heads, and the man merged with a tree during the transitional stage between Chapter 1 and 2 has something embedded in his head (maybe it was a Shiny Stone before?). Maybe these Shiny Stones were embedded in the wedding ring, which could go some way to explaining the Pretty Lady's transformation, or maybe even whole 'happening'.
