Powerpuff Girls Game Registering As A Mod

When I add The Powerpuff Girls game to Steam, it says it's a mod, opposed to recognising it as legit. Does anyone know why?

there is two types of games, one being bought, other being downloaded elsewhere.
there is no way to fool steam because the records are held in the steam database, so unless it was purchased and processed via there system its an outside thing.

you can add the shortcut to steam via ur libary but thats it.
also sidenote talking of piracy on steam is an easy bannable reason.
