Discovered game-breaking glitch in the mines

Was most of the way through the game, at the point just after disabling the turret and trying to figure out how to get through the futuristic door. Sent the bird through the little vent to the upper level with the obelisks, and explored a bit. Ran out of options, and on my way back I opened the options and accidentally hit the full-screen option, which removed the game's screen and replaced it with a strange, cavey texture. couldn't move or do anything but open the map (Couldn't travel in the mines) or the options (Messing with the options did nothing to fix it). Tried saving and coming back, and was able to control the bird, but Dropsy, the dog, and the rat had somehow glitched through the door with the futuristic keycard thingy into the obelisk room.

All except the bird were invisible and unable to move, but I was able to "Control" them as long as the bird was in the obelisk room. So far I've been unable to fix the issue, and have been completely stuck.
