[SPOILERS]Thoughts about the russian roulette
So, I finished chapter 2 on original, and I must say that you can figure out how to survive the torture sessions, BUT when I got the russian roulette section, every time Irving pointed the gun at Burden, I really felt distressed because never before I've played a game where your chance of survival was not finding a way to cheat, or becoming almost invincible or anything else but relying on probability and some (or pure) luck.

I got shot at the 4th or 5th round two times, one because I had not enough lies when the chances where 1 to 5, and the second one because I had pure bad luck. Every time the gun was pointed at the head of Burden, I felt truly nervous of the heroes dying, a sensation that I've never felt so strong on a videogame.

What is your opinion about THAT part? I've read some comments of people getting really annoyed because they're out of luck when the barrel rolls, and maybe I was a little bit lucky finishing that part on a third trial, but I think, personally, that it was awesome! :)

I'ts only luck-based if you want to not confess a single time during the chapter 2. But if you do this: lie (100%-prepared), confess, confess, confess, confess u have a 0% of dying. You can do it confessing less times for additional risk. Or for full risk no confees achievment you can do lie(100), think, think, think, lie (90%or so).
Said that. Making rely on luck your full chapter progresss its cruel. I like it.

i really agree!
i think it's the only point in the game where rng can actually ♥♥♥♥ you over without you being able to do anything about it, but i think the effect is totally worth it.

the first time i played through, the russian roulette just made me want to confess everything right then and there. i felt genuinely nervous and uncomfortable. a game has never had that effect on me before, it's a huge part of why i like this chapter (and the entire game) as much as i do :P

and i still get nervous every time i take a shot! the effect would not be the same were it not for your 10+ minutes of work at stake. i think it was a risky inclusion but completely awesome.

Well, I have never used the Confess option across the torture sessions, wich made the entire chapter harder, but I think it was worth it
It's one of the few sections that will somehow coax you into confessing.

♥♥♥♥.

The first time I did it, I got down to 3 chambers before I forced myself to confess, fortunately he respinned the revolver.

The second time I got shot the very first round, 1 out of 7.

Love the game.
