Guide to Chapter 2 (MINOR SPOILERS)

I just went through this chapter a few times to get the achievements. I noticed that each level is in a set order, it doesn't appear to be random. I've made a list of them in order and a list of the items I'd recommend asking for each night.

Day 1: Fists

Day 2: Hammer
ask for Painkillers for day 4
Day 3: Pliers
ask for Health (or maybe Information) for day 5
Day 4: Blowtorch
ask for Information for day 6
Day 5: Rack
ask for Painkillers for day 7:
Day 6: Gun
ask for Information for day 8:
Day 8: Rack
Doesn't matter what you ask for
Day 9: Axe
end of chapter

In general the idea is to just waste as much time as possible in each day, but to also stay alive. You don't really need to tell lies for any reason other than to spare yourself a turn of getting hurt (as far as I can tell) but there are times where that extra free turn is invaluable so it's a good idea to ask for information for those days.

- Use up a lie if you are getting information the next day
- Alternate provoking between Jack and Burden. They'll end up taking less damage
- When your guys are laying horizontally (almost dead), beg. You almost always get a free turn that way.
- For the gun, use up your lie right away, then think think think lie(70-80%) etc that will get you the least shots. For the rest just cross your fingers.
- For the rack never let the rack turn more than once or your guy is dead. Provoke with the sitter until almost dead, beg, repeat (maybe confess if you have to)
- For the axe you're either going to lose an arm, or confess a few times. Nothing you do besides lying/telling the truth will stop him from chopping.

Thanks! - I'm still not overly convinced about this game in general, but I'd like to give it a bit more time. The 'Gun' in chapter 2 has been particularly unkind to me so far... hopefully I'll get through at some point!

If you survive the Gun, you WILL make it through with straight painkillers and provoking. The night before the Gun and the Axe you'll want to recieve info for a lie.

During the Gun: Lie, Confess, Confess, Confess, Think, Attempt a Lie.
During the Axe: Lie, Think, Lie, Lie, Lie (you may get lucky and save Jacks Arm)

Every other round, Painkillers and alternating Provoking.
