How to be Broficient - Bro Tips and Tricks
Does this need to be its own thread? Maybe, maybe not. I guess time will tell. Basically, this is just a compilation of any of the tips and/or tricks that aren't explicitly referred to by the game. Some are obvious, some aren't. Of course, these are just the ones I can think of. Feel free to suggest your own.

Jumping at an overhang above you will cause your Bro to flip up over it, letting you climb to those hard-to-reach places.

Attacks that gib enemies (aka blow them into pieces, leaving no body) will actually counteract a kamikaze mook's explosion. Try hitting them with a powerful attack (like a shotgun or explosive) while standing next to pne. You might get knocked into the air a little, but you shouldn't die!

Indiana Brones' whip and Broniversal Soldier's gun deal reverse damage - They deal less damage up close, and more damage farther away. Indy's whip won't even deal damage at point-blank, but can shred enemies at the tip!

Indy's whip can also be used in mid-air to latch onto terrain. Because he's the only Bro whose primary weapon can't break terrain, he has a pickaxe instead of a knife, which deals way more terrain damage.

Blade, The Brode, and Bronan can reflect bullets and other projectiles by hitting them with their sword. The specials of Mr. Anderbro, Ash, and Bro Max can reflect, as well.

Bro Hard's flashbang and Bro in Black's specials don't just stun enemies - They cause them to attack one another. Shots fired by stunned enemies will miss the Bros and hit other enemies. This doesn't work with explosions, which still hurt everything.

On that note, knives actually deal very slight terrain damage now! Usually it's just useful for destroying wooden crates...But Blade's terrain damage is so pathetic, the knife actually seems to be faster sometimes.

Holding the knife button allows you to throw small enemies, dead or alive. They take a second to get back up, but if they fall far enough, they'll die from fall damage. If they hit another enemy, both of them will take damage. Things get especially interesting when kamikaze mooks are involved.

On a similar note, many attacks will deal knockback to small enemies (usually killing them in the process), giving them properties similar to thrown enemies. Currently, most melee attacks (besides Bronan's) and Bro Max's shotgun can do this.

You can move during some cutscenes. But not during others. Yeah, it's inconsistent, but if you find yourself getting blown up when you thought you had no control over your Bro, try it.

All grenades in the game, including the Bros', can be thrown by tapping the knife button. This even applies to Broddock's grenades BEFORE they hit the ground. If you hit the fire button and then immediately press the knife button, you'll throw the launched grenade with the same arc as most other grenades in the game, giving it a bit more range.

I'll add more when I think of them. Feel free to beat me to the punch, or suggest ones I haven't found yet!

-(EXPLOIT)Bro Caesar still has that cool flying bug that was patched out of Bronan: Dash then jump then quickly press melee and then special, and keep holding both buttons.

-MacBrover can get a boost of speed when blasting himself with his special. Make sure you aren't jumping though. Just dash past the turkey bomb and blow it up.

-Cherry Broling is the fastest character in open areas. She is comparable to the soldier in TF2. Try maintaining high speeds while rocket jumping and bullet jumping. Always dash and fire, and launch rockets immediately after jumping.

-(EXPLOIT) Maps that spawn players without a truck or helicopter have the checkpoint defaulted to the most upleft part of the map. So if you find a cage without touching another checkpoint. killing yourself will warp you to the top of that map. Great for skipping vertical maps.

-The Brode can do a diagonal airdash. Which is actually just applying both momentums of a directional attack and her exploding punch technique. Press Up+Attack+Special or Down+Attack+Special. This cancels the slow cooldown of the special. Try zigzagging through maps with her, by alternating between the two airdash directions, It is faster than running. Similar to Anderbro you can only do one of each airdash direction per jump.

-The Brode also has a less useful and more difficult technique: If you do an Up+Attack right before touching the ground, you will quickly dash forward. It is like a flash step. I can't time it right consistently though.

-(EXPLOIT) Both The Brode and Broctor Death can attack their way off the sides of the screen. Useful for maps that go downward. It is possible to do this with propane jumping with any character.

-Brobocop can consistently fire his weapon if you find the right timing. You have to hold the fire button for a bit repeatedly. Not as strong as Brominator, but no recoil.

-Similar to propane tanks, Mechs can be ejected in mid air from then dash jumped off of for an additional speed boost. Make sure you still have some fuel when you eject.

-(EXPLOIT) Mechs can push players through steel ceilings. Just fly up eject, stand on it before it pushes you through the ceiling. Additionally pushable blocks can push players through steel walls, but that is only possible in multiplayer.

Barrels can be rolled (it seems obvious but I'm sure a lot of people don't utilize it). You can use rolling barrels or crates to corner and crush an enemy on your horizontal level.

There is a small delay after hitting a red barrel that can give fast reflexed players with melee characters a chance to get out of its radius before it blows up.

Enemies take a long time to decide whether or not they should shoot you. Take advantage of this[gfycat.com] (also, because it seems to be the bane of some peoples existence, this is a pretty easy way to beat level 27 -- just hold the up arrow and use the left and right keys to maneuver up the ladders).

You can kill birds with the helicopter in the campaign level select map thing. There's no benefit to doing so, but it can be fun.

Brade's dash is unstoppable. Try dashing as you rescue a bro. Brade keeps going while the newly rescued bro does their rescue animation.

Some powerlines have transformers on them. Jumping on them makes them fall off and creates a horizontal explosion / electric thing that kills / damages nearby enemies.

Giant mooks (and regular ones) can be killed by "harmless" falling things. Crates and roofing, while harmless to the player, can kill them.

Bro Max can pick up unlimited boomerangs. If you have one and come upon some ammo, throw the boomerang and pick up the ammo before the boomerang comes back (if it comes back). Pick up the first boomerang and you now have an extra one. Boomerangs block and redirect bullets it thrown while being shot at.

Broniversal soldier works best if you use him to revive dead bros instead of dead mooks. That being said, mooks have a longer range than most bros, which can be useful.

Bronan, despite all the hate he gets, has a very good special ability where he can clear huge numbers of enemies. While in the process of performing his special, he's invincible.

Exiting a mech using the special button rather than the melee button will cause it to countdown and explode.

Swinging Bronan's sword while dashing gives him a slight speed boost. This can stack, if you have enough flat land.

On a similar note, Bronan's special normally only sends him a few blocks into the air. If you use it while dashing, however, it sends him a lot farther.

A fully charged (or partially-charged) primary attack from Bronan will daze most enemies temporarily, preventing them from doing anything. A fully charged swing also causes a shockwave that knocks enemies into the air, and launches a projectile that effectively increases the range of the swing to several more blocks.

If you're about to rescue a bro or know you're about to die, don't hesitate to use your specials if they'll benefit your next life. People seem to save them up, but they don't do much good if you're about to lose them.

You can shoot sawblades and break them before they get a chance to mess you up.

Mechs will continue doing what they were doing when you eject from them (in such a way that they eventually explode -- hit special). For instance, you can get in one, start flying up, and eject and the mech will keep flying up until it explodes.

Brochete - Use you directional controls to send his special knife burst wherever you want.
Tip: Useful to drop mechs from above, but be quick to get out of the way.

Brobocop - You can tag enemies multiple times with his special and those bullets continues their journey after they've killed mooks. Very useful in a big pack of mooks.

Bro Dredd - His bullets seeks nearby enemies and will bounce from ground, and they can bounce back to kill mooks.

If you want to get you bro to dash quickly, press and hold your direction where you are going and quickly tap two times to opposite direction, bro starts to dash.
