FAQ: Play Online: Login attempt has failed

Unfortunately there have been quite a few reports of players being unable to log into broforce online.

There is a very stupid bug where if you have uncommon letters outside of the english aphabet in your pc name, then it incorrectly resolves the address. (eg: ö) We will address this bug but in the mean time you will have to change your pc name to use standard letters. Sorry.

There was a known issue with most Mavericks user's not being able to log in.
Mavericks has a new interface added called Thunderbolt which caused Unity to throw an error. This should be fixed now however.

i bought this game and for another friend we cant play online together the login fails , after we attempted over and over and over -.- it finally worked . after it wokred we finally played together but the lag and player placment was false. it cut out over and over , another problem is when he or i left the screen in game, as in levels ect. we would sundently dissconect..... please fix this please , sick fun game .. this game has major potential!!!

My results are still the same as well:

MacBook Pro 13" -> MacOS -> Online play doesn't work
MacBook Pro 13" -> Windows 7 -> Online play works great

Just an update regarding these log in issues. We have switched over to steams networking api for steam users. We are still using Badunmna to provide connectivity to non steam users.

This should address all the log in issues. We will be rolling it out the new update.
If you would like to test the steam networking stuf that would be greatly appreciated.

To do so you ned to switch over to the beta branch of the game.

Richt-click Broforce in your library, Properties, Betas tab, select public beta. The password has been posted in this thread, richardrichard.

Needs some spit and polish. What aspect ratio do you have?
Theres no games because very few people are testing the beta. You will have to get a friend to start a game.
