clarifying doubts about "THERE CAN BRO ONLY ONE"

i beat the ironbro campaing on hard (wich means that you can not see a "mission fail", because if you see it, you are out, the game ends prematurely), and at the end when the credits are rolling i didn't unlock "there can bro only one", so i think that this achievement just unlock if you don't die a single time with any bro.
Some people was wondering if you can not see a "mission fail" or if you just can not die anytime, so doubt resolved

Oh trust me, when you try and play this game without dying, you do notice when you switch bros ^^

It's possible to get "There Can Bro Only One" through save scumming, if you're willing to spend about ten hours on it. Just copy your save whenever you make it through a level without dying, and replace your old save if you die. I don't think it's actually possible to get it otherwise, not without hundreds of hours of trying. You die too easily and too randomly in this game, honestly. It shouldn't be an achievement. I could see getting through a game without failing a mission as an achievement, though. That's doable.

You can do Ironbro the same way, but since it's actually possible to win Ironbro on Hard without cheating, it's better to do that. (Especially if you just cheese your way through all the levels by only having Timebro and spamming his special to get past any enemies.) I do think that the deathfield part needs to be reworked, though, as well as the bosses that drain your lives if you die due to there not being checkpoints in the level (looking at you, Helicockter). Some of the Bros just cannot outrun the deathfield, so if you have any of the slow Bros at that point, you have to pray you don't get them. Ideally, you get Timebro, and you can just slow time to get ahead of the Deathfield.

People who haven't played since before the hell update have also reported the white house immediately showing up on the world map when they came back, getting them the achievement.

I beat IronBro mode with all bros and ZERO deaths and I did not get the achievement. Unless I am mistaken and there are more than 30 bros? Screenshot for proof.

I think I have found out why some others who thought they were going to get the achievement did not. I am doing a new playthrough right now and testing it, but it seems like on some of the alien levels 12-13, when I got to the mission victory screen, there would be a dead Rambro on that screen, even though he was not one of the bros I played. I saw this occur 3 different times and I did not play him or die with him on that level at all. So I think this might be counting as a death against the player and denying the achievement.

I beat the game on normal campaign without deaths and the achievement still did not unlock. I give up!

I ran into this stray Rambro problem too and decided to investigate. I hopped into arcade mode and played level 43—the one where Terror Krawler shows up—over and over. During one run with Brobocop, just as I was about to reach the last flag, TK smashed thru the platform, killing a caged bro. I finished the level without dying, but a dead Rambro appeared on my kill screen. This made me curious, so I went to an easier level with more environmental hazards. I beat the level with Time Bro without dying, but this time I let two bros out of their cages and then intentionally killed 'em (one with a barrel bomb, the other with a falling rock). When the kill screen appeared, two dead Rambros popped up.

Maybe this glitch is why people aren't unlocking TCBOO?

After carefully getting to the end of the game, I have decided that there is are two problem areas of concern:

1. I suspect you have to save all caged bros during Satan first form or get charged a death
2. Confirmed that you can get charged for a death if you are on the wrong part of the helicopter after the Satan fight, especially if you are hit by the laser directly.

Phantom Rambro still exists, I am sad that I cannot 100% this game. I got the new achievements at least!

Albeit this thread may not be active I would like to point out that I've had the game since January 18th 2015, which is when it was relatively new (not sure if beta or alpha or anything). BUT, when the game updated to having this achievement, I immediately unlocked it, and I HAVE NOT BEATEN THE GAME WITHOUT DYING. It just appeared in my unlocked achievements, I did not achievement hack, I did not use glitches, I didn't even try to get this achievement, it just became unlocked. I do not believe that anyone can get this achievement through a legit playthrough of brofoce. Again, I have the achievement, and it was unlocked as soon as the achievements were released. I didn't cheat to get it, and I do not know how I got it. But hey, it's my most rare achievement.

I also encountered the phantom Rambros, even when making sure I saved every caged bro in the level. For me it was the level in "country" no 5 where it's raining artillery. I'm still hoping it'll get fixed, because I'm holding off on continuing that game...
