How to play Co-op with my friends?

I tried to create a new game (Host online) to play with friends,
but whenever I press [y] to invite friend, or just press [x] to start game. It always restart to Brooo Forceeeee cutscene at main menu.

How to be a host and invite my steam friends in?????

ok found the fix for my friends and I. Go to options and make sure if you are on steam to put yes play with steam user and BAM! We are now able to play. Spread the word.

it only shows the controller options and not keyboard options to invite people. When you hit the key it puts you back into your main menu. No way to disable controller options, only rumble option. Any fixes please let me know.

U need to hit the fire button. Not sure on keyboard but know it's z-v?
