Well if you have played the early access long (or recently used a certain mod that shall not be named...you might be aware of the beta character that is the titular character from the fly played by Jeff Goldbloom.

He has acid spit as his primary and a teleport move where he moves forward and frags enemies he's touching when he ports.I think myself and several people love the moveset and think it would be a great shame if he were to be gone entirely. Thus I propose giving his moveset to the toxic avenger from the movies of the same name. This has been a common suggestion, but it does give the moveset to a good guy, which fulfulls the suggestion guidelines in question.

As for the new moveset:

For the primary he he throws acid at people off of his mop in the same way that brundle spits.

For his special he dissolves into acid hitting any mooks that are nearby in an acid explosion...then reappears further in the level by coming out of a manhole that appears wherever he is going to be (which then ricochets around the level hitting enemies).

For his melee he hits enemies with his mop sending them flying.

That's my idea at least...there is a suggestion thread but I think think this is more important than just another random suggestion. If you have any input go ahead and post below. Toxie is a pretty iconic character who fits the moveset...but if you have one who fits even more, go for it. IT would for sure be a shame to lose that moveset entirely.

Honestly I'd just prefer it if Brondlefly himself made it in. Don't get me wrong, he's definitely the biggest stretch of the guidelines so far, but I still wouldn't mind seeing him in. If I had to choose between giving the moveset to someone else, or not having it at all, though, obviously I'd pick the former.

One of the things that's great about Brondlefly's WIP teleport is that it can telefrag people. I'd hope that Toxie's teleport would do the same thing, rather than just throwing out a manhole cover. The manhole could still deal damage, but I picture that as being more of a joke attack, like hitting people with a grenade.

basically same for that opening paragraph..whatever happens I want the char in some way. It would certainly be a shame for him not to make it.

Definitely wouldn't mind Toxie. I think he'd be a better fit too:

Also, I'd like Brondlefly's teleport to go to Nada. In 'They Live' the aliens used their watches, which allowed them to teleport.

I mean nada needs something...alternately arnold's character in the last action hero with him coming in and out of the movie universe would also work.

As much as I love Arnold, I'd rather see someone like Roddy Piper make it into Broforce before another Arnold character and I think the teleport would really be a good fit for Nada.

Walter White would make a damn fine acid throwing bro.

By the end of Breaking Bad, he was basically a villain, with no redeeming qualities.

Giving it some more thought, I came up with a moveset that I think would be good for Toxie.

Like you suggested, flinging acid with his mop is a must. However, I think he might work well as a charge, melee character.

Pressing the fire button, will cause him to swing his mop into enemies. Think Snake's bat but perhaps with more knockback. Hold the fire button and his mop will fill up with acid. When charged it will be glowing green and you can then fling the acid the same way that Brundle spits.

As for a special I think it would be cool if he could whip out an acid barrel, that the player can then throw or roll into enemies.

For a melee, maybe he could dissolve into acid and "teleport" like the Brofessional currently does.

As to Brondlefly being a stretch to the rules of bro selection, I think that in this case the game would once again benefit from a little more in-campaign story to how and where certain new bros are unlocked.

I've suggested this before, but certain bros (such as Brodator and the currently discussed one) only becoming available if you happen to discover a "secret" area in some of the alien-themed levels, triggering a timer countdown event in which you have to withstand a large enemy wave in order to reach the captive cage, would add some spice to the game.

If you contextualise certain bro rescues this way, the fact that Brondlefly isn't properly an action hero is irrelevant: it can be framed by saying that he's a scientist the aliens captured and experimented upon, or that his experiments with teleportation are what opened the portal that caused the invasion in the first place.

Eh, I like usurp's moveset better, personally. I'm not opposed to more charge moves, but flinging acid doesn't strike me as a move that should be chargeable. I'm also not opposed to a character that summons barrels, but I'd prefer a character who can place propane tanks, which wouldn't really fit Toxie.

And honestly, Brofessional's cool and all, but something about his melee seems...Unsatisfying to me. Personally, if I were to add another teleport to the game, I'd want it to be a special, much like Brondlefly's WIP special, rather than a melee attack.

Lol

I knew you were going to say that.

Off-topic but:

Really?

If there's one satisfying thing about Brofessional, I'd say it's his melee. His primary is almost identical to Double Bro Seven's and his special is pretty plain/boring. Personally, I find his melee to be his only redeeming quality.

I like the idea of freeing up the special...but the brundlefly super is really potent. Idk if it being a melee would be the best balancewise. I'm cool with the mop acid being a charge though.

Perhaps normal button presses do brundle's normal attack..and then hold for a concentrated ball that homes a little bit then explodes.
