Most Favorite: Brolander (1--5 Charges)
My least favorite...Yeah, probably Broniversal. His melee attack is cool, and he's great in multiplayer, but in single player, he's very underwhelming.
Least favorite? Well, there's Rambro, who's all around a disappointment, the chick with a gun leg due to her being crippled by tight spaces, the Broniversal Soldier who's completely underwhelming against non-bosses, and the guy with a grenade launcher due to lacking any ability to attack flying opponents or enemies who are currently shooting back... there's a few of these too.
He's good with crowds and deals awesome single target damage.
I get the least fun with Braddock (feels like a nerfed Bronnar from Expendabros), Brolander at level 0 who cannot kill xenorphs, and Broniversal for the boring gun.
Also, I wish McBrover dynamite could always stick to walls, regardless of distance.
1. Bro In Black
Powerful, reckless, and above all fun! It’s always a blast (pun intended) playing as this guy!
2. Bro Dredd
Love the character. Enjoy his homing bullets and controllable missile. Only complaint I have is that he doesn't have access to other ammo types such as; stun, incendiary, and ricochet rounds.
3. Time Bro: Awesome melee attacks, three round burst pistol, and slow mo. What more could you ask for?
4. Bronan: By far my favorite melee character. Very versatile. I really enjoy dealing damage with his charge attack and his special is almost always satisfying to use, gotta love the yell too. If only Rambro could get his yell as well....
5. Brobocop
Love he character. Good primary with a powerful charge attack. His targeting special can also come in handy.
Honorable mention: Broddock
Extremely fun skill based character. He could definitely use some work though. He sucks against big mooks. Big mooks should be stunned temporarily if hit by his grenade. Also, to make him easier for players, I feel he should be able to charge his grenade before he fires it. This would also help against helicopter enemies, which are a real pain when playing as him.
5 Least Favorite:
1. The Brodator
Absolutely despise his playstyle. Doesn't feel like the Predator to me. A spear attack would be better suited for a character like Leonidas (a highly requested character, btw). His special is also really boring, as it basically puts you into autopilot and only lasts a matter of seconds. melee is cool but skinned mooks should run around after being attacked. Explosion upon death is a nice touch but where is the lightning?!?! Needs to be more dramatic, like in the movie!
2. The Brode
Just boring to play as, imo. When I'm done with her special, I'm done with her. Sword slashing gameplay might be more entertaining if she could hack off limbs and whatnot. Not a terrible character, just not very fun.
3. The Brocketeer
Love the character; hate how weak his primary is. Also, I strongly dislike how restricted his special is. It should be just as versatile as Neo's dash, if not more so, with the ability to dash diagonally in all directions.
4. The Broniversal Soldier
Love the character and his melee attacks but he's in need of work and has been for quite some time now. His special is pretty much worthless, unless resurrecting a co-op partner/fallen bro. Primary is ok I guess. Would have rather had his laser sighted mp5 from the movie, with some kind of target locking system.
5. The Brofessional
Cool melee but just plays way too similar to Double Bro Seven. His special is also really lackluster. Like the Brode; I just feel there were better choices out there. Still waiting on the 3 J’s; Jack Burton, John Spartan, and Johnny Rico.
The Brode and Brocketeer are also two of my favorites, though I absolutely agree that the latter's special needs something to make it better.
Well, I may be cutting BroDredd some slack just because I really like the character Judge Dredd. I guess his damage output doesn’t bug me because most of the time I feel that I’m able to pick off mooks from a safe position.
I will agree though, his melee is awful. I think for a melee he should be able to switch ammo types like I mentioned above, with stun, incendiary, and ricochet rounds.
As for the Brodator, that’s the thing; I think people just enjoy his moveset. Like you said, even if it doesn’t fit the character, it doesn't really matter to you because he’s fun to play as. If a similar movest was given to a new character (ex: Leonidas) and Brodators was changed to be more inline with the Predator from the movie, I don’t think there would be any complaints.
As someone who is a fan of The Brode, what is it exactly that you like about her? While I enjoyed Kill Bill, I just find her incredibly boring, as a bro.
Certainly. Leonidas also has potential for other moves I'd like to see (shield charging/bashing, kicks). Whatever the Brodator would get reworked into would probably be fine.
Well, her sword is basically a slightly slower but more versatile version of Brade's, and I tend to love melee combat in games. I really love that her special doesn't consume any charges if it doesn't hit, which lets her use her directional swings as extra jumps. Plus, the actual use of the special, punching dudes so hard they explode, appeals very much to me.
I'm curious what your opinion is about Brade. Is it his agility that puts him above the Brode for you? I like him, but I'd say he's definitely my least favorite of the melee bros, probably because he's generic.
I do appreciate Brades agility/finesse but he also has a lot of power behind his attacks. Even his stance looks more powerful in comparison to hers; she should be holding her samurai sword with both hands like him (this is something I also wish they did with Broheart. He’s wielding a claymore for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake!) Also, her basic attack while standing still, looks comical to me. It looks like she’s swatting away flys.
I just don’t feel that powerful with her and I don’t know what they could do to change that. Like I mentioned earlier; I think if there was more visual damage to mooks and limbs flying (anime blood spray), it might improve my opinion of her. Even a basic combo system and changing her sword stance, might make her more enjoyable.
She gets the job done but she just looks and feels weak to me.
Least: Brocketeer AND Brolander
