Online Co-Op is it good? does it still have problems?

I have been reading a lot of old posts about online co-op not working, has this been resolved?

NO. I bought it yesterday and still cannot play online. It's completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I can't host games online either. I've been trying to look for port forward or setup guides, but nothing yet.

I bought the game 4-pack today and gave keys to my friends.
We have no problem to play in co-op.
I start a campain online and press Y to invite my friends, when we are all in the room we press together on X and it starts the game.
So far we really enjoy the game.

Looks like it depends on something. We tried to play online today but it's just not playable. We can go through severel levels but after that only host can play. Well, its buggy as hell.

okay so... we bought the game
Online play isn't even connecting
When we press Y to invite it just exits

For people it doesn't work for who activated or bought the game on Steam, make sure the option "Play with Steam users" is set to OFF. That option is only for DRM-free versions

sorta unrelated (sorry) but does this game have local co-op? Also does it work well with a 360 controller now? I saw on the sticky threads people were having a lot of trouble with using a 360 controller.

Local as in on one computer, yes. Otherwise it still has to go through Steam's servers. Also I believe the majority of controller issues have been patched out now

yup it was the "play with steam" option turned it off and it worked
but man is this game a glitchy mess

This should be a STICKY because it fixed the problem for me...even in cross platform multiplayer! By the way both of us had steam versions and of course, using steam to connect.
