Having trouble starting a single player game!

I played this solo in the early days and had great fun with it. Now, coing back to the game, I'm having some trouble finding my way around. (Everything seems to lead to mutiplayer.)

I'm probably missing something simple, but I'm doing it all the time. I'd be grateful if someone could give me a blow-by-blow on how to start a single-player game.

Choose arcade or campaign... Don't host online

Is it a list of servers? May also be a Mac issue...

No, it's a "join game" screen with spots for four players to join or drop out.

That is single player just hit the fire button. It will start the game. ;)
