Use DGVOODOO if your having issues, it fixes alot of crap with older games under 10\11.

thats a lie because without it it crashes right away when you click on the terrain after world generation for me under 11 on a 2070.. Yea Original Disc version. Even for 2$ I rather still stick it to EA and not rebuy a game I already have bought a very long time ago.

I came here to see If it was possible to get it to work on a modern machine, the widescreen patch partially fixed it to the point of terrain generation, and dgvooodoo did the rest. Otherwise I had to play this game on my XP rig and ontop of that a PCI Voodoo 3 as it doesn't work on my XP rigs x1950. That is how messed up this game has been for a long long time.

I also have a device running 11 containing 2070 and have successfully run unmodified GOG, Steam, EA Desktop, Origin and original disc ( obviously converted to standalone installation ) on that device
