Rollin' Rascal

Did the camera mechanics change in an update?
I haven't played in a while but coming back it seems that the camera is much more strictly glued to the back of my character. It's kind of disorienting to have every micro adjustment of my character move the camera. Maybe I just have to suck it up and relearn with this, but just wanted to give input and see if anyone else thinks anything about this.

Hi Uncle Urda™ and Big Beau,

Thanks for playing the Rollin' Rascal free demo, and for your feedback! As you know, our game is still in early development. One nice part about our game being so early in development is that there's a lot that can change suddenly. When it comes to our camera, we're figuring out the best result possible. This takes a lot of trial and error. While you may be experiencing some adjustments you aren't use to, entire other issues have been fixed. We've noted your feedback and will work toward improving the camera in future updates. We hope you enjoy our updates to come!

I came here to ask the same thing. It feels worse in my opinion. I can't make the same moves ive been doing since demon launch because the camera keeps jutting around

Just thought I'd chime in here, I have no problems with the camera EXCEPT for on a specific part: It's on the "Don't Look Down" multiplayer map. There is a part during the jump pad end shunt to the final finish line where you are on a U-shape track, and as I am running forward, the camera invariably always turns 90 degrees to either the left or right. It is a struggle to actually hit the jump pads at the end of the U pipe, let alone keep my lead during races lol

Chiming in to say, i agree that it feels like the camera sticks too close to the player, which is kinda disorienting. I tend to play with a control scheme which allows me to manually adjust the camera while actively playing, and the changed camera makes it harder to smoothly turn if for example, the camera was adjusted to be able to view all of the terrain in one go (cause after a while it'll adjust too closely to the character, and rotate as i'm moving, despite being adjusted before to allow for smoother movements without the sudden rotation).

I'd suggest allowing the "camera stickyness" to be an adjustable option within the camera controls, to fit with different players regarding how the camera should handle.

Developers,

Please try to put a camera in that is similar to spark the electric jester 3. That camera is perfect and probably the only thing holding this game back in my opinion.
