gacha?
As far as I understand, there is something similar to gachi in this game, right? if so, then I am extremely interested in how exactly this works: what kind of guarantor is there, where to get the currency for gacha and what general benefit do the characters have in themselves besides a beautiful picture and a new voice in the game? thank you in advance for the answer

There is no value whatsoever for any of the gacha rewards, because you are playing mahjong. Every single thing you can get is completely cosmetic and has nothing to do with the game you are actually playing. A free-to-play player can be completely happy just keeping the default catgirl all the way up to Saint rank and never be at any disadvantage against the generous patrons graciously donating their money to support the client.

If you want a steady trickle of cosmetic stuff while you're playing, you can buy the Fortune Charm in the shop and treat it as a subscription fee to support the game. It'll be $5 a month and you can expect an average of about one unlocked character every two months, although depending on luck you might get more or fewer.

A free-to-play player who graduates out of bronze rank will probably get one or two unlocked characters per year if they play regularly, with rolls coming from a mix of special events and donating every gift they receive from silver+ lootboxes for playing matches, but again they could get more of fewer depending on luck.

Every time you make a summoning attempt to get a new character, you get 1 faith currency whether you succeed or fail. After 150 attempts you can just pick whatever character you want with no luck involved, but this uses up the currency you accumulated. 150 attempts is a whole lot if you're doing free-to-play, but it's probably a little more than a year if you're doing the $5 subscription.

Most character costumes are real money purchases. A lot of them seem to cost about $15, and you have to overpay leaving you with some in-game currency as change to tempt you to drop another $15 to get enough currency to buy another costume so you don't waste the currency you already have and can't use.

There is no actual benefit for unlocking new characters other than being able to bench your catgirl for a few games, and the only reason to try to Collect Them All is to show off your Whale Pride credentials.

That's a polite way of describing Protector of Cat Kingdoms like me, lol
