Mahjong Soul

Mahjong Soul

What's up with Copper?
I have a couple hundred thousand of it so this isn't an issue by any means yet, but it feels like every time I look at my currency, it's less than the last time I looked even when on a winning streak. It feels like the only time it really goes up is from quests and the like.

Can't lose it if you spend it

Buy blue gifts whenever you can and convert them into dust, gives you a free pull every few days depending on how often you play

I don't remember the exact math, but you need to win by a certain amount to actually get more copper than you paid to enter a match, because besides the copper that's converted into your starting points there's also an entry fee. That's how mahjong parlors make money.
I guess that makes sense, just feels odd considering it's like the one free currency.

If you happen to run out of copper, the game gives you an allowance so you can play a few games every day.

You also get 1000-1500 copper a day by doing the daily quest, which you can find in the "events" screen.
Playing and losing copper still nets you more gifts than buying them. A green gift costs 15k and a blue one costs 75k, but I got my first silver box after a REALLY bad losing streak and it had two green gifts, but I only lost around 12k doing so.
Basically, only buy gifts if you are so bad that you don't want to play silver or upwards, or so good that you consistently win more copper than you spend.
