For New Players, Are There Account Resets & Intro Pulls?

Various other Gacha games in the history of the internet would present a new player with two options:

1) ONLY sign up for the game during a special event that showers (new) players with tons of free pulls or

2) Once the game gives you your free pulls, burn them on the current banner to get the character you want, and if you got unlucky then reset your account and start fresh to pull again.

MegaMan X Dive had a convenient little button buried deep in its options menu to reset and start your account as a fresh player as many times as you needed to get a good head-start.

I'm aware of saving green and blue items for dust and buying scrolls and what the $5 charm does, but do new players benefit from waiting for a special event to start running? Does Mahjong Soul promote the idea of restarting an account if you're new?

i created new accounts in the love is war collab to claim the free pulls and in one i got 2 collab characters in the first 2 pulls so now i keep that account as my only one

sometimes there are pulls given in mail for events, but it usually requires the account to be created before the event start. So i'd say that's pretty indicative of 'no'.

The scrolls given as rewards for doing things in the event can be claimed by newer accounts, but that means grinding the event on multiple accounts so...

Also there are no events that give pulls specifically to new players, new and old get the same.

MajSoul is notoriously stingy when it comes to free rolls. Most events only give 1-2.

That's unfortunate - though it seems the starting characters are pretty nice at least.

It doesn't look, at a glance, like it's particularly efficient to go resetting a bunch of times just to get freebies either since opening the game for the first time doesn't come with extra pulls. It's a shame, because it otherwise plays pretty fast/snappy.

Bear in mind it's all just cosmetics anyway. It's not like you need a 5* meta character to play Riichi Mahjong.

No need for rolls in general. If you want a cute character pay to support the best mahjong client that exists. Otherwise youll get one from playing during events eventually for free. I am hyper opposed to gacha in a general sense, but its one of the few ive paid for because I've gotten hundreds of hours out of it playing competitively.

There's no intro pulls or virtually any freebies. This is a notoriously stingy gacha game.

yes and no, since there are characters with annoying emojis to spam ingame these characters are toptier
