Cannot delete building due to "NPC being inside"

Can't delete a building because the game is telling me there is an npc inside while it appears there isn't. I suspect an NPC I did not track fell through the structure/interior floor (has been happening more frequently as of v0.2.2) and they are still counted as inside the structure. Anyone have any ideas of what I can do to fix this?

I found with V2.2 that most of the NPC's in houses spawned right below the floor. I had to climb up the back wall (using stairs) and fall down the abyss, hitting ESC a bunch of times to freeze the screen and find an NPC that's stuck. Then I clicked on them and carried them to relocate.

It can be a pretty big pain

Me 2 I having those issue until I start placing floating platform until now my npc unable to sleep or do h scene except in ground. I think chaos cave is little buggy since there is a cave below them. Btw if u can't find ur npc below the cave u need to go ur save file in xml find their name and change their location u wanted them to be. I solve those by changing the location and territory.

just open the friendlist at bottom left, click "return" then every npc will back to their position that u set

With 2.2, the NPC position was set below the floor, so "return" did not put them back in the house

the game has forgotten a large number of original positions i set my npc's to (has been the case for multiple patches) in addition to npc positions being set just below the floor.
