Making unity 2d animations is easy and all it takes is taking the male one and adjusting a bit. I could re-do the entire aniamtion set in one afternoon - if I was lazy.
The devs insistence of the fixed roles is utterly unsatisfying.
Your idea isn't really fixing the issue. Fem MC is still anemic in their breadth of actions.

Their attribute growth is not very impressive, though. That tiny fairy riding on a mouse is probably the strongest character in the game with some levelups.
