How do you recruit yona?

I'm wanting to move her to the base instead of in the middle of nowhere. At some point, which I dont even know what triggered it, she is finally saying staying looking for boats is pointless but she still wont follow me. I increased my leadership to be 0/6 so that I can take her along however I'm not given the option still. I am able to "move" her now by selecting a new location that I can visually see but my base is all the way on the other side of the island at this point. I'm not wasting my entire life moving her an inch at a time.

You can't, she's a main playable character. You either control her or Man.

Found a way to move her at least.
Go to your main base that has a flag with either character>hit enter>type /change>Open map with "M">click on flag and teleport character>quickly talk to other character and click move-location>click change>repeat
