Mad Island

Which NPC is safe to let them do combat?
I imagine that natives and other dungeon random humans and creatures will die permanently (swept away), what bother me to set them as base defense, since raid will gang on them. I know the man/yona just temporary faint when they are just wondering at the set location.
I just a special one called Cassie, and seems that she is also "imortal"?

Later in the game you will loot an item to equip to a character to make raids focus on them. I give this to myself. This effectively makes my defenders immortal since they will never be swept away. If I die in a raid I get a free teleport to a flag, not a real consequence.

Also, if you have Cassie you will have access to androids which are 10x tankier than offspring, which are much better than villagers.

Lastly, I should note that laying out food on tables increases the stats of nearby villagers. So if you stacked enough food on it, you can theoretically turn the weakest villager into an immortal murder machine.

Being swept away doesn't actually permanently kill the character, so they aren't dead dead when that happens. They will have a rescue period after a while where you can get them back if you survive the fight.

And if you miss that, you can always glue the body parts back together in the android factory.
