Men's Workbench toilet?

Can someone help me figure out why the toilet from the men's workbench has 2 slots? I know one is for an NPC but cant figure out what the second is for.

In the latest update pregnant native might have a miscarriage in the toilet, the slot is probably use for handling the life orb they left.

so far I've only had amputees produce life orbs in this way can anyone confirm?
