How do I give npc's water
I know how get them food without having to feed them manually, but how do you get them to automatically drink water on their own? Do I need to make a well?

water collector or build a well
I consider those the easy method to give them water but 1 is dependent on the weather

otherwise you'll have to do a whole water cleaning process to which you can most likely feed them the water with a water pouch

Not sure if it's a bug or not, but only wells ever worked for me.

IIRC the rain collector only makes sure the well has water. And I believe it also makes sure the shower works. I could be wrong though.
