How to produce or get Chaos Wood

Hi,
I found the ore and vines fornthe questline... bit i guess i missed solthing about chaos wood. Can't find it and don't know how to create it.

i get chaos wood by defeat dark tree

There are 2 kinds of wood in the purple region. One comes from regular trees that grow there. The other comes from trees with hanged people on them.
Trees with hanged people fight back, but can still be cut with a chaos axe. You can (and probably should) block while cutting trees down.

IIRC you need the Chaos Axe.

I have the chaos axe but it gives 0 ZERO damage to the dark tree. Why?

You need the chaos axe. Then chop the dark tree. Chop it even without seeing the given damage. It will copllapse soon. But I have another problem. Alhough I have all resources , still cannot make progress in quest. The note still appears "under development".

That is because the main quest is still under development. There is no main quest after you rescue the fat guy.
I heard the developers plan on working on main plot for now, but it wouldn't happen until the next update.

You need to chop it like normal tree, not attack. Just use "activate" button on keyboard when near the tree.
