I think the bow is pretty bad and the club is for stunning, you can see some guides already created because there are some very complete ones, but first, create a workbench and then make a spear, and look for the iron ore cave going left on the map to make the iron workbench and furnace, and create an iron shield that blocks 100% of damage when defending and you won't have much trouble with enemies, make a flag that can teleport to the cave and mine more.

Keep in mind that baiting an enemy to attack and then pressing "F" to do a heavy attack will do double damage while keeping you relatively out of harms way and limiting the amount of durability you're burning. Would also hit up Harvest and then Self-healing in the skills tab just to get you rolling much sooner even though Carry is so tempting lol. Like Shiveer said, bows seem garbage right now and the spear should carry you to at least the second portion of the map pretty easily.

club is for stunning and capture villager, which has no use until mid to late game (and at that time you have better stunning weapon) at early game you focus on harvesting, get LV1 auto heal and lvup harvesting can help a lot, try move east when you see the river go north until you see a cave entrance which has lots of iron inside, you will need a lot of iron in this game. Try to make more red flags so you can put them in remote place for fast travel

> craft a spear ASAP. It gives +8 damage, which is nice at start.
grab a few sticks and stone --> axe --> cut wood --> workbench --> craft the rope with fiber ( from smal trees) and craft the spear.

> Put all your early points in damage. +1 per level. to earn xp keep recolting things on your path.

> Always try to 1V1. trigger their attack by getting in range, run in their back, hit 2-3 times, cancel next attack with right clic to be able to dodge again and not be stuck in your attack animation when they can retaliate. Rince and repeat. If they team up on you, try to group them, and trigger all their attacks at once, so you can still retaliate on one of them without getting mauled by the others.

> Shields reduce incoming damage by XX% (depending on material) when you block, can be usefull too.

> When you are able to properlly kill natives, don't hesitate to go to their villages to hunt a few of them, they gives way more XP than collecting things.

> Skill points are differents from stat point, so don't hesitate to spend points in skills, it won't stops you from putting points in stats. Skill are also shared between main characters, unlike stats & lvl

> The more North you go, the more powerfull natives & new ennemy types will be and the more XP they will grant if you defeat them. They also drop XP fruits from time to time. You can either eat them or gives them to the main character you use less, or even to friendly NPCs

Everything said here is good. My tactic to add is the large wood spike barricades that cost 6 wood to make by hand, and are pretty good if not excellent for the early smaller raids, (raids get bigger as you level up your protags) if you make a line of them diagonally they snap together and are mob tight. You only need maybe 6 or then kite them to the other side as they try to get you. Eventually surround your starting area doubled up and you might never have to fight raids again as they automatically fix themselves if smashed. NPCs are dumb and will just kill themselves trying to attack them and get past. They can break through eventually, usually when there are more than a couple of the Big Natives hitting it, but they cannot hit you through them. You can hit them however.

if you are on the other side, if you F key to smash attack or use the space bar to attack while facing the NPCs, you can reach them, but clicking on them or E will just make you run against the spikes and your character won't hit them. Remember they can be built and moved at anytime, just in case.

The other thing is stairs. Wooden stairs made in the work bench can be clicked on and give a USE option. You can make them vary size in height, width, and depth and they can be used to help you get in and out of a circle of wood spike barricades (among other cool things like climbable towers) if you want to fully surround an area. NPCs aren't smart enough to use the stairs very well though, so when you start making parties watch out your peeps don't get caught outside during raids, or that they teleport to you with enough distance between you and them.
