Wooden Work Bench
So I made one, opened the crafting menu, however I cannot craft anything even with the materials on me. Am I doing something wrong?

He mean the materials.

In order to craft with benches you need to put all the materials in it's inventory or in one of the special containers (like the spider chest) to make them available to the benche, your inventory doesn't count.

Everyone is confused by this at first, and it has to be one of the dumbest systems I have encountered in many years. Why is it not possible to craft with stuff in your pocket at a crafting table ? I guess we will never know.

Couldn't tell you, I don't particularly find it bad tho... Different from how we're used to, yeah, but well, it have it's logic behind it so it's merely a "You get used to it" thing imo
