I got the milkers made (there's a dad joke in there somewhere) but don't know how to us it/them. Has anyone successfully used this device?

You can only place mothers in them

You need to put mother (female native that have given birth) in there for it to work,
so F*** some FM native to impregnate them and put them in there after they given birth (or you can let male native to do the job).
if you want milk you can just get and milk cows in the northern part of the island

im also having issues with getting milk... i got a lady on the milker and i got a normal cow and a pink one. I have a few people on doing livestock, and bing in range so they can reach it.

I gave my cows food, my girl food, and im still not getting anything outta them. idk what im doing wrong.

Edit: and the milker and cows are in range of the harvest box so it should be working in theory right?

Cows have to be in breeding pens to get milked. I honestly don't even know if the milker is necessary to get cow milk.

The milker is a placeable object that you can put female natives on. I put food in the station with her. Also put food in the breeding pen with 2 cows. I have 2 people on livestock wondering around the area but they havent done a thing, and im getting no results doing so...

make sure they are prime for milking as well as the move button the territory is within the station

otherwise it won't work

You need the mens workbench. you can unlock it by beating the old man to the east of the starting area. After a bridge if i remember correctly..

You simply need to put a woman in it, who had a child (success is not needed.) Ones she had one, look closer to the milkers, you will see its "working"

Seems to be a glitch, I have the same issue. I already tried everything they are saying here, still does not produce milk.

You also need a tamed NPC set to the right role ("animal husbandry" or whatever it's called), with their active area encompassing the milkers.
Milking stations require females that have given birth and are then worked by characters tasked with caring for livestock. They produce Mother's milk, which is different from cow milk, and can be turned into Love Potions or Growing Potions.
For breeding stations, i.e. where you put cows and stuff, first place them in a wood fence, or equivalent, along with some of their favourite food (hover over them to find that out) in order to max out their affinity. In the lower left corner of their icon will be a number, starting with '0' and ending with 'Max'. At Max value, place them in a breeding farm (doesn't actually breed them) and have some critters on livestock duty and you will get their produce (basically only milk from cows and wool from sheep; nothing else is confirmed at this time). Oh, and have a harvest box in range as well, though milking stations will output in their own stash.
