And I still haven't discovered basic stuff like normal vines, lol. This game is frustratingly complex due to being so blind as a player due to no real guides and the game being so new. I feel like I've done what I can do in the game for now because I don't want to waste hours trying to figure out stuff that's probably basic lol. Anyone else feel this way?

I have no idea what I am doing either. I am just running around killing everything and collecting resources.

as it should be for a exploring/surviving kinda island. Its amazing how many people can't play video games without a guide for every step these days. Not saying you guys specifically.

Some people just dont have the time. I explored for 2 or 3 hours before it became necessary for me to find or do specific things. That's where i started wasting time. I'd rather know where i'm going to get needed items and event and then spend what time i have to play building and looting. I get that figuring stuff out is a huge part of any game, but all that really does is add time to a game.

you can always use cheat code like i did, to explore the game first. there isnt any good guide yet in my opinion.

You break small trees for fiber. Is that what you’re looking for?

You can get vine from killing the venus pitcher looking thing in the mushroom biome right side of the map

You can farm vines from the swamp in the east.

as far as the vines you can get them in the swamp after killing the purple plant creatures.
