apparently you're not allowed to have a guide/comment/threads mentioning removal of mosaics or they will flag it/remove it and give anyone who upvoted it a ban for 30 days from upvoting and such.

after talking with steam support about yeah i learned a lot some new stuff as well so i can see i may have been a bit uneducated on some newer rules and such they did a good job in explaining it
i still do not agree with banning upvoters still tho some didn't know better

normally i would just deleted post here but you;re not allowed to here it seems its been a while since i used forums so i was just wanting to help originally with the flood of questions here for the topic

the only thing i would like is more open bold warning about posting about it or guides or topics that would help avoid a lot of accidental bans is all if i was asked to remove or such it would have been gone asap i try to respect the rules i been on steam a long time lots have changed over the years. some good and some ban imo as we all can feel at times.

deleting post or guides and not saying why doesn't help anyone though just adds to confusion and can cause indirect harm either way communication can go a long way.

i wanted to delete thread since its unrelevant but since i cant i just renamed it as the warning for now hopefully dev or mod will later locked post for us that would be nice

so it removed some mosaic yet 'ding dongs' are still blur its bothering me but at least a lot of others are gone
still looking for more info before we had a non steam ver plugin we added both to BepInExplugins folder but that no longer works for new steam ver so more than likely i assume there will be a steam ver of that later i'm hoping
that one worked 100% wish it still did with older ones i used the same plugins over and over per update new builds

i herd and curious about that i will see if that is true or not

if they ask me to remove it sure i do not mind, sadly doesn't work 100% anyways i still prefare the old plugin though, i have not found a up to date one for steam ver that works yet hopefully soon it will happen regardless.

i would say if them banning/removing topics of 'removing mosaic' are true, that will just encourage more ways around to do it regardless and cause more forum spam & confusion about topic that will flood forum worst. as i already found trying to find info on this

I wouldn't give negative reviews for this reason, as the devs have to tip-toe around both western and japanese censorship rules. In Japan, for example, genitalia _must_ be censored, it's strictly illegal to not do so.

i made a English guide for those who are wanting to remove it with pictures and such as it took me a while to figure this out myself for the steam version of this game as i was unable to find any reliable sources for info. most where inaccurate and agreeing with those inaccuracies as if it worked which no...it didn't
google translate was also being unreliable.

putting a empty namehere.bat file in XML just make sure its a windows batch file 'type'
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mad Island\Mad Island_Data\StreamingAssets\XML

works for most part at this time some small stuff seems to still have it but this works till a mod comes in future~

this on the steam platform every japanese vendor does their moderation differently some are douchebags about it 100% sure others are nice and respectful and allow all info possible its not Emadeplus's fault if someone uncensored a game when they play in Australia or the UK or america there is other games on steam in japan that allow such info and guides peace full that's why none of the forums make sense because their post where deleted that gave accurate info because trust me i looked. and i can tell there was gaps and post missing due to links not working or prev guide is gone this causes forum flood since it is not stated to not share such info.

its not hard to message a fan/player with a guide they dislike and mention they will take it down or ask for it to be taken down that said info is not allowed but they appreciate the effort put into their games community.

it is not mentioned in locked topic or anywhere by dev to not to talk about this topic

that is really scummy. you can defend it however you want to justify it that is your opinion as this is mine but when they go after people who didn't do anything wrong just upvoted guide/topic/whatever for helpful info we all wanted and been asking about but they censored all info with no warning or rules on their forum against in bold text then that is a dev/mod just being a lazy Douche bag in my opinion

i like the game but this makes me wish i could refund.
that is just really crappy all those people got a ban for no reason other than appreciating a players effort to share info even you have to agree that is a bit much.
i had guides from previous games i enjoyed removed peacefully no punishment also reviews i was contacted by dev of a different game and asked to not show certain info about certain things in game you can do nicely

This game isn't an isolated case, steam is really severe concerning censorship i've seen lot of guides being deleted or someone being banned because of it. It's either you or the devs that gets in trouble, you can say yeah there's a patch or you can do this here blabla but not pointing it out like this. Steam is actually really nice to allow this game considering the content of it compared to the usual... I thought it was common knowledge at this point, I think the devs did the right thing to react so fast. Don't cry for your own actions that could bring harm to the devs and us consumers.

this so much, it's not the devs fauilt for the laws of their country nor the laws in steam's operating country that blocks certain content, circumventing the sale restrictions could get the game yeeted outta steam and the base version is already good as is.

i agree on some of this.

and i learned from this after talking to support over some new rules for clarification
steam is really good for opening up more over the years and allowing content freedom


and no, i'm not just crying about it
the concern is if the info is really so hard to find because itself is being so mass censored on games own forums or open knowledge that people will go to other means to get it and accidentally download some shady executable which the Dev/consumers wouldn't like or know how to handle/fix on their own if it was some nasty malicious download that stole all their info

which in your words somewhat would do unintentional harm this happens a lot due to censorship of info/factual information that can help a lot to avoid risk and this is why steam rules are so piled on over and over.
not everyone is as tech savy as the rest of us and lack understanding and know how of risk that causes more issues for steam/dev/consumer and forum spam in the long run that is why rules are so strict now to the point it can be a real hassle to avoid accidentally breaking them.

better communication can also go a long way or a comment for take down or pm.
forum could also do with a large bold locked dev text asking to not speak of this but most do not leading to unintentional bans that could have otherwise been avoided

i do not hate the dev or anything nor am i deflecting blame or responsibility i simply made a mistake and am disappointed with the bans given out that is understandable is it not?
if anything i would recommend some measures to improve forum and lack of info on some topics that are 'deliberate' so everyone can be happier.

rather than trying to call someone with concerns a out negatively or such when there is a real issue with how things are handled or mods just blatantly abusing their roles it does happen if so it ruins it for everyone a lot of the info i looked for on topic was just flooded with people trying to take jabs at others or being petty making sorting a bit confusing and leading others to probably not even bother to post and share info which personally i normally avoid forums due to that very reason alone.

i just feel the warning could be more large to avoid this if punishment is going to be instant and a bit drastic to even upvoters is all

if i worded my previous post a bit bad sure i take blame for that i was a bit upset i worked hard on that guide to help community here with this as i was one of the people wanting this info but couldn't find it easy on steam till i posted my guide and this thread and had others showing me warning me about previous ones.

as i was one of them recently took me a week to figure out how to remove mosaic then work on guide.

if i had a chance to talk to dev i would just recommend more larger warnings of what not to talk about or avoid. some allow it but if they don't then i would happily respect that if they want something removed from guide sure idm

at end of day its all about sharing and helping fellow players we share same interest in.
