IE: NPC #2 has a personality than NPC #1 loves, but #1 has a personality that #2 hates. Thus #1 will love #2 and want to have sex, but #2 will hate #1 and want nothing to do with them, and thus reject every attempt by #1 to have sex with them.
There are a number of solutions:
- Turn off natives love & sex options. This will stop them from feeling love/hate for ppl, as well as stop them asking ppl for sex... thus no more 'unrequited love' msg's followed by enragement.
No idea what consequences doing so might have tho, so they might just lose moral due to no sex and eventual enragement again. Not sure.
- Turn of the love aspect, but allow sex. This should allow npc's to engage in sex when their libido hits 100, but there should be no rejections based upon hating of personalities.
- Separate the 2 npc's. If they are far enough apart, then their feelings will go away and they won't be asking for sex and getting rejected and then getting enraged. If you pair them up with ppl with a personality that they like, they'll eventually forget the other person and go bang the new person (assuming you allow love and sex).
As long as 2 npc's are in the same 'territory' that like each other's personalities... and you have allowed love and sex, they will eventually start banging on the bed every now and again. Yes, you can watch them having sex if you're around when they initiate the act - if you see 2 NPC's with a pink heart above their heads, it means they are going to have sex.
Personally I don't like talking about this because it's fairly complex yet simple and i can't give a straight answer.
Right now i have just 6 workers with 1 bed in a house and 2 beds outside with the standard food and water.
And before i even added the house their moral was fine so i never looked into it. Simply just removed the bad apple and the beds were enough to get me by with moral. But I found the house gives 10 moral if they stay the night in it.
But i also found mixes of getting 20 moral instead of 10. Sometimes it was 0. Sometimes they wouldn't lay in bed but stand on it yet the 10 probably worked. Also did i mention only 1 bed and all 6 workers got the 10?
Anyways after enough sex they never seem to rebuff anymore so it's just a constant flow of good will even with multiple partners. I stopped getting messages at all.
Also one of my test berserks targeted me once, their most loved target twice, And their most hated once. So it's also random yet not random. because of a clear connection.
People also say you should set their Combat roll and it will change results. I'm willing to believe it.
I also found when you have them set to stand still the only moral change is if they hate people around them Although that test might be inconclusive as it wasn't a test. Might have been because they engaged in combat with patrols and consumed food(I'm willing to believe food consumption and moral are linked not eating = no moral down, Not working = no food consumption).
Someone also said adding carrots to the food box raised moral. I'm interested in testing it eventually.
