Food box can be filled by the player or NPCs who have "Food" as a job.
Players can interact with the box(Eat prompt should appear, you can eat from it too) and right clicking food from inventory, The number over the chest should rise indicating the amount of food in the box(Up to 1000). NPCs need to be within the blue circle to use the food box. Probably also needs their own territory to overlap the box too so they can eat from it.
Harvest box is crafted at the wood workbench.
Ok thanks. I kinda figured it out like just before I checked this comment. Except for where the harvest box location.
One more question though, How do i know what I can equip to an NPC? like I can't give certain weapons to female Natives.
Yona = Female MC
Man = Male MC
The other Story NPC weapons are uncommon like Reika who can use a nail bat.
Native NPCs are also kinda the same, but not as uncommon with a handful of options. "Meat workbench" should have a few options for Female Native.
Same as above for clothing.
Extra tip: You can take gear from dead NPCs and sometimes bosses if you have the equipment page open and you select/interact with them. Usually anything whos body doesn't turn into loot the moment you click on them.
2nd tip: Some NPCs allow you to craft with them. Try grabbing an old man or old lady and befriending them.
I think it is so that you do not have a dozen over powered followers... and I think it would be a nightmare to look after all of them anyway...
as it is, you need a ton of food for even just one... as they get injured they will need food to heal, otherwise if they are at 0 food, then they will never heal...
so, you have to use tons of food to keep them healing...
I pretty much just use the Werewolf as my Follower, he is really OP and I need to feed him constantly...
I'm currently working on animals like the cub from the desert area. There is even some eggs in the mountains hidden above the cave on the far northeast of the island that i'm interested in.
I would say try bear traps if you haven't they seem to be easy food stocks. you can hit "T" to butcher animals in your inventory you are moused over.
For myself i've been making my base build milk. Not only does it heal 5 HP when you drink it in combat for HP potions, you can find wild animals and eat them raw, get food poisoning and drink milk to replenish thirst and heal food poisoning.
