That's funny cause me and my friends would Unironically play this game together if it did, we played a game called Kobold Care. One friend took the game seriously and was trying to run a business while one friend kept chasing me with a Kobold to make it splooge on me. ♥♥♥♥ was funny.

The Developer already stated that they want to finish most of the game mecchanics before implementing coop, so we'll see coop and maybe even multiplayer, but we have to wait for the game to release first

Coop would be a form of multiplayer, I'd be of the mind that coop would means no pvp side to it.
Could also be viewed as how ppl get together in the game, as in : Can you join random ppl ( multi) or is it invite only lobby (Coop).

Also, why not play with your brother ? It's almost as if you see this game as not family friendly !
