Stock Car Extreme

Stock Car Extreme

Top Content for GSCE/SCE
Hopefully this will assist newcomers to the game or experienced users looking for something to run or to select content for a league or offline championship. You will notice there isn't much in the way of third-party content for actual cars but that is for three reasons:

1- Picking only the very best
2- Picking what is "legally" available
3- Picking what has been adequately converted

rFactor has a few very good mods such as Virtua_LM's GTPC or DRM 2.1, but while someone may have it available for SCE or GSCE or GSC 2013, it could have been obtained through different channels and not be as of the quality it could be. Also, I can't know EVERYTHING that goes on the internet :p. Anyway, my little disclaimer over, here we go!

May I really, really, REALLY emphasize the quality of CART Extreme, created by 4 Reiza folks at some point in time. Dave and Nick with the amazing textures and models, and currently from Reiza we have the owner Renato and Dom, who worked on the physics and sounds. This is why this mod matches stock content.

Always download mods from racedepartment.com. Quality is garantied.
Fia GT3 2010 is good, but I think that blancpain GT3 is much better.
Also I want to add Ferrari F430 Vs. Porsche 997 RSR (from RD)
F1 1977 (from Boxracebrazil)
Porsche 911 Cup RSR 3.0L (RD)
Clio cup RD
F1 2000 SROL (http://simraceonline.forumsmotion.com/f8-2000-formula-one-world-championship)
Some Endurance series, WES i think was pretty good
Probably its all

The Porsche Carrera Cup 1.30 from RD is fantastic as well.

With rfactor tools you can convert drm revival and enduracers and historx too.
Also on racedepartmant there is a f1 1991 season.

I didn't list some of those because of quality/authenticity/fidelity, for example I'd love the Blancpain cars but they "don't make sense" in how they drive. The Porsche vs Ferrari has also quite altered driving aspects that steers them away from simulating the real cars, although that is done on purpose and for fun.

I should have mentioned this on the disclaimer, I was sticking to the virtual representation of real life. rFactor had endless mods catering to absolutely everything, a lot of them are available for Stock Car Extreme and people should experiment and see what makes them enjoy it the most :).

Great post man. I have all of these mods and then some but most of those are definitely some the best out there. Kudos
yusupov Apr 9, 2015 @ 11:14am
i didnt know that reiza was that tied-in w/ CART! wow.

i do wish someone would update the cockpit textures tho. they really stand out to me in a bad way.
yusupov Apr 9, 2015 @ 11:21am
also, itd be nice to have this stickied, i think

i just downloaded enduracers for SCE; i wont link since im not sure of the 'legality' (permissions granted). i also dont know if its any good, but its easily one of the more famous rf1 mods & its out there, just fyi.
incoguinito Apr 9, 2015 @ 7:53pm
I wasn't fond of the mod even the 2.1 update, but who knows maybe things were revisited and tires reworked with their S3 update! I am looking forward to their rF2 implementation of their endurance mod :).

"Little" note about CART Extreme, which is my top recommended car add-on.

These cars have slightly different setups depending on the chassis but overall performance is extremely close. The default setup may prove a handful as it is for more advanced or familiar folks but there is a way to make it more approachable - on all cars.

- Lower the power differential by about the same rate you increase the coast differential
- Bring the brake bias forward (from 56:44 to maybe 58:42 or more)
- Lower the rear anti-roll bar
- Decrease the amount of camber

****************

There are four different manufacturers and four different engines. In parenthesis I put the order where the teams finished but in-game there is little between them as you can see by engine power figures. Chassis varied but honestly even the Lola doesn't drive badly.

Chassis ordered by results:
1-Reynard
2-Swift
3-Penske
4-Lola
5-Eagle (in game classified as Reynard)

Engines ordered by power:
1- Honda - Power: 637Kw , Torque: 434Nm
2- Ford - Power: 637Kw, Torque: 429Nm
3- Mercedes - Power: 632Kw , Torque: 428Nm
4- Toyota - Power: 621Kw, Torque: 422Nm

Reynard Honda: Excellent combo
- Target Chip Ganassi (1st)
- Tasman Racing (7th)
- Kool Green (2nd)
- Walker Racing (9th)

Reynard Ford: Excellent combo
- Patrick Racing (3rd)
- Payton Coyne Racing (15th)
- Team Rahal (6th)

Reynard Mercedes: Very good combo
- Bettenhausen Alumax (12th)
- Hogan Racing (13th)
- PacWest Racing (10th)
- Player's Forsythe Racing (4th)
- Project Indy (18th)

Reynard Toyota: Ok combo, very easy to drive
- All-American Racing (17th)
- Arciero Wells Racing (14th)

Penske Mercedes: Very good combo
- Marlboro Team Penske (8th)

Swift Ford: Excellent combo
- Della Penna Motorsports (11th)
- Newman Haas Racing (5th)

Lola Ford: Good combo
- Davis Racing (16th)

Porsche mods are the only reason I play this game. Transmission and engine sounds in the 997 RSR GT3 are fantastic.
Don-KRiBLER May 8, 2015 @ 1:20am
Hi, how to install the Blancpain mod with the steamed version of this game? The RD forum post only seems to explain the non-steam version installation...
yusupov May 8, 2015 @ 1:21am
its the same way i assume. just find the stock car extreme folder (within the steam folder), then drop the mod contents in it.
