In terms of the Profiler software, nothing special there – except that with both Windows 7 and then 8, it always took a specific version to get the wheel working (64-bit 5.10.127).
Then in game I select the preset wheel option "Logitech WingmanFF"
The force feedback defaults to -75% and I have tried "force feedback effects" from low to full but the wheel still shakes side to side in pits
I can stop it by changing the dead zone setting, but then the car is hopeless to steer....slow to react.
Guess I will have to go back to Race07 :(
I can't say how soon it will be but I'll try to get my wheel connected and see how things go here.
in profiler and Race07 the when doesn't rotate left/right so am guessing the wheel is ok, just that it doesn't seem to work with SCE unfortunately
I finally got to have a test run with my FFGP wheel yesterday.
This evening, I hope to proof-read some suggestions and check that I have the correct names and placement for the Control Panel and Logitech Profiler settings.
There were no problems running the latest version of Stock Car Extreme beyond the wheel dropping out as my 360 controller also does from time to time and one mod that needed the feedback reversing so that it was positive. As the wheel worked as well as it could last night, I'm hoping that we can find the missing piece in order to get your wheels working like this too.
It's too early to say if I'll return hours or days away from now, but I'll definitely be back with some explanations and a procedure for everything from the Control Panel to the game menus. Most of that post is already written, in fact. It needs that read-through and, ideally, another test before I add it to the thread.
Any wheel I have had (many) I have always ended up doing a "custom" set in game and all is well, 99.9% of the time...also, I like to choose what buttons do what on the wheel.
Logitec settings i am using
Specific game settings
Overall effects strength - 105
Spring effect - 0
Damper effect - 0
Enable centering spring - blank
Use special wheel settings - blank
Use special game settings - ticked
Allow game to adjust settings - ticked
Something i dont get is the steering degree settings in game. This wheel only rotate 180 degrees so what should i set things at for the Metalmoro (dont care about the graphic steering wheel as that is turned off)....thanks all
