how to know if the patch worked?

hey everyone i have installed the patch from the official site (if that matters) and ive played for awhile and i thought it was working since i got most of the choices but when i got to the clothing scene i didnt get the choice does this mean i did it wrong and need to do something else with the patch i put it in the steam folders and everything just like a regular patch then i go and play was i supposed to do something more?
