Official Roadmap
I will use this thread to let everyone know what I'm working on!

Fixes and Improvements
1. Fixing bugs that are reported
2. Adding more features to the mod support
3. Adding quality-of-life improvements where possible

New Content
I am also working on a content expansion set in Western Europe that will add 8 more official tracks to the game (along with new music)! Currently this is expected to be a modestly priced DLC. No release date yet, just "sometime in 2025" :)


For those that are interested, I stream on twitch[twitch.tv] ~3x each week working on my games and interacting with viewers, taking suggestions, etc! Feel free to stop by sometime, these days I'm likely working on PGRC or perhaps prototyping a future game idea.

Added since the game released
1. Split screen multiplayer for 2-4 players with (optional) collision
2. Revised the cheat code system to remember discovered codes, and make a new panel to easily toggle on/off discovered codes, and make it possible to change codes in multiplayer modes
3. Added music restart option to decide if the music should restart when a race restarts, or keep playing
4. Mod support for custom tracks, shared through Steam Workshop

We need more tracks (an editor could be really interesting) and cars (just diferent models), maybe having workshop support could be good for this.
Also i really like the idea of having splitscreen multiplayer (with colisions if possible), it could be a great party game.

Some suggestions
would be cool when there has been more players playing endurance to add trophies for some of the varied ranges on that (only going by whole or 1/4* track trophy goals), and if there would be some dynamic trophies like an platinum that follows a certain range on the leaderboards? maybe like in a couple of weeks to add some endurance trophies, if possible?

Also able to view the different modes at the start/trophy screen?
to maybe some QoL control with the trophy updates, so it doesnt need to reload everything, for every time? able to pick category to reload?

I think I mentioned before but a championship mode that accumulates the total time of all raced tracks in a row and a seperate leaderboard. :)

I like this idea but it will take some work to handle the ghosts for this, because a single entry in the leaderboard would now have to have ghost data for all 8 tracks that contributed to that time.

if championship sounds fun, so not just normal ghost timing, (if using/adding tags or not)
and only the final score/time being different to be posted for the leaderboard? so if you are slower, it doesn't add duplicated times? although keeping the time from one to the next or if championship is a mix of endurance and racing? so either one big ghost to download or a whole new leaderboard for it with an added total amount/score at the end, like being an invisible level that counts all the previous ones as the total (a little cheat method?).

although maybe not everyone would be as much a fan of it, playing all the maps again, but a new gamemode seems sort of fun if it adds something else than just the normal racing in some sort of way?

Another quick idea, which might not be so time consuming, is brand new track layouts for existing stages. After exploring many of the stages it becomes clear that incorporating slightly different routes could indeed be possible.

New Orleans Stadium route A, B, or C for example would be awesome additional content which would not require entirely new location designs.

Mirror mode could be a nice cheap way to "add" tracks if its not already in the game too! potentially a bit faster to justify the different leaderboard (insanity, but just throwing ideas out)

FYI, the split-screen update is now in testing with my Discord while I wait for translated text in all the supported languages. Hopefully I'll be able to release this update within October.

Split screen has now been released! my new priority is adding official mod support to the game, so players can create their own tracks! tracks will be created directly in the Godot editor (outside the game), using a template project, and then exported as files that the game can load and play. I'm making good progress on it and expect it to release in some form in 2024. If you want to help test this feature, please join my discord where we are managing tests and also sharing work-in-progress creations.

I'd much rather have reverse tracks and then mirror tracks (reverse is just better, let's be honest) before any sort of modding support. I actually think modding support is a terrible idea for your company. You should release dlc and then maybe down the future create a "legendary edition" version/dlc which includes or tags onto all dlcs and creates like a new single player mode or something. I'm sure you'd be swimming in it if this game did as well as I think it did.

Why do you see modding support as a bad thing? I'd argue it's better for long term game support since the fand can make their own content instead of somewhat tacky (although i will admit, neat.) reverse and mirror tracks.

The Europe track pack will probably be the only amount of big new real "content" to pgrc, which will most likely be a paid dlc, but hey, actual new official tracks, if that's what you're after (or atleast I think you're after since you're talking about these track variations)

Please add the option to 'view' other players racing after you finish in first ;)
Tiny car mode has too many bumps while driving to be fun to play.
Would be cool to have loops, although I'm sure that is hard to implement physics wise.
