Steering wheels are supported, please change your input axis before starting the game, on the INPUT tab. Then ingame, go to Options->Other and change automatic things there.

My "generic" steering wheel shares the same axis for accelerator and breake pedals (0 / 100 acceleration, 0 / -100 break), but the game thinks I'm pressing both at the same time. I believe it only registers a 0 / 100 range, considering my pedals are at 50 while unpressed.

So, I can't play. I neither know how to set my steering axis to turn the car. Is it the "horizontal" option? Man, the settings in this game are weird.

I have the same problem, I have a MIscrosoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel. Sure it's old, but works great in Euro Truck Simulator 2. Not so much in Driving School Simulator

I think what it comes down to is the configuration for the controls is pretty horrible. I've tried multiple times to set up my wheel, but there is no way to just not have something configured, and so you end up with the wheel turning right instead of left.
