101/103 total Items

I've been everywhere as far as I can tell, but I am missing a sol shard and another item. Any help finding these would be appreciated.

I'll save you a little trouble: our sol shard count got messed up so if you've found all sol shards, you're going to be missing one. This is going to be fixed in the next patch.

It is also worth noting that sol shards do not count for this ending item count. I'll let other people help you figure out what items you're missing, but you may want to provide more information so the community can help you better.

I have explored everywhere as far as I can tell. I have gone up and down walls looking for secret passages. The only item still on the map anywhere is the fake item that sends you to the prison. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the forbidden knowledge thing, which I am currently attempting to do, but I'm not completely sure of the steps.

Forbidden Knowledge is for an alternate ending, that won't net you the remaining items. I don't want to set a precedent of the dev explaining exactly how to find everything, but I will say that the team is talking about ways to make finding remaining items less frustrating. Might be a while before we can implement some changes for that however.

I did the forbidden knowledge thing and finished the game but the ending was the same. Did I miss something? I had the knowledge glow around me.

Found out the last two items were the pocket barrels you get from using the pineapple.

Got the TWO barrels.
And from 101/103, it went to 102/103 .

Seriously, between "shards don't count" and "Forbidden knowledge / Sol Breaker don't count" and "We fumbled the shard count, BTW", that Item count's really ticking me.

Honestly the item count was a holdover from the demo, we had no idea this was going to be such a focal point for players. We are a very small team so we are doing the best we can to react to all the feedback we are getting

You inadvertently stepped into Collect-a-thon mechanics here, by giving players such a goal.

If you make a counter of things picked up, people will try to max it. Mainly, achievement hunters, but also people who simply liked the game enough to want to complete it. Especially when completion is high enough to be a challenge, but low enough to feel like it could be done.

What are those pocket barrels? how are you supposed to use the pineapple to get that item? Do you mean the iron pineapple artifact?
