Battuta, I don't know if the FSOInstaller is actually pulling from the Steam install path. They might have to manually copy over the VP files.

I'm installing with FSO right now. FSO asked me to select the freespace2 directory; and I just pointed it at the FreeSpace2 folder in Common

I'm worried you might get ERANGE errors installing to Common, because FSO chokes on long file paths. C:\Games\FreeSpace2 may be safer.

I have this error: "The Basic Installation configuration could not be validated against the current list of mods. This option will not be available"


Now the option to install the MediaVP's aren't even there at all after that error.

Also, when they were available, they always failed, including the .OGG cutscenes and FreeSpace Port.
