Is this game playable with a Xbox Controller or Mouse and Keyboard? I don't know if i want to rebuy a big flight stick joystick just for a few retro games.

It definitely is playable with mouse and keyboard, although I have always preferred joystick and keyboard. It does not work with an Xbox controller out of the box, but there are mods and workarounds available. I would highly recommend checking out https://www.hard-light.net/ and the knossos.net launcher/installer.
