Try this "Non Steam game "The Tarr Chronicles" very similar.
And both remind this more senior gamer, of Babylon 5 (wish they had done a game, before some of the cast, past away. Shame really, it was a good show.)
Or Battlestar Galactia the later modern series.
Both as Mass Effect, etc (or similar games/ shows.) look and feel and not just as a MP MMO but also with Single player, mode.

This game plays wonderfully with the mouse, and despite the fact that I will likely get dridded by other long term fans like myself, I actually preffer to use the mouse.

Open the settings menu and turn on the mouse controll.

Cant get to the settings menu with the mouse at all... No key board movie fast forward either,,, after windows 10 update

you can go to settings from the main hanger screen by using the options terminal, on the right hand side of the begingin hanger.

Alternativly when in flight you can get to it using F1 or F2.

the mouse in this game defualt setting is off.

to activate it do following-

in the free space where your station is

move right look down little computer.

click it. click mouse circle on
then it will work

It does have mouse.. when you get to space station choose setting right side
then check mouse is on or off. usualy by defualt it was off. then change senativity.
also check if set to very easy. becuase gets real harder near the end.
