An update to this game now, would be very illogical. Unless they're going to remake the entire game like Rise of the Traid 2013.
This is a great classic game, and worth $10. Don't know why people think it would only be $5. Wolfenstein 3d is worth $10.
I just can't see an update to the Descent series that would even remotely work. Except for the additon of the source ports that make it run better on new systems.
I just don't see how this game could get updated.
And I'm sorry, but mod support for Descent 1 and 2? You mean the very large amount of levels made over many many years?
I've only heard of one mod for Descent 2 and it was a total conversion with new weapons.
And there are apparently going to be new updates to this game, somehow,
I just don't think you understand what greedy means. $10 is not world endingly bad to price this game.
Moraff's World is still $10 to buy, and it's extremely obscure.
This game is well worth $10, and I don't see why anyone would complain about $10.
I've been playing games since I was 5 and a half years old, in 1987, trust me, I understand Nostalgia. :)
I will indeed buy this game on Steam, not at the moment, but soon.

http://descentchampions.org/index.php for the ladder stuff :)
Personally, I won't be buying the games on Steam until the updates happen, I don't have the money to spend on something I already own.
Interplay isn't involved here, technically, The new company, founded by the remains of Interplay members is what's reviving this game series.
I forgot their name though.
