Can't save?

Hi guys!

It would appear there's no way to save the game - I recall the original would save at the beginning of each level, but this does not appear to be working?

Isn't it ALT-F2 to save and ALT-F3 to load?

Yeah, I've discovered it's something like that. The key mappings don't appear in the menus and there's no PDF manual though!

If you press F1 you get some info on how to do stuff. Also, I have been using the Rebirth source port for a really long time but i'm pretty sure you can rebind your keys in the menus.

The Manual is in the game folder.

press fn+alt+f2 then you can save

One time I couldn't get shift-f2 to bring up the save menu, rebooting the computer fixed the problem.

I tried various suggestions here but it won't save... pressing f2 on my keyboard opens my web browser

It might work with the three keys Alt+Fn+F2. Or try Fn+Esc first, then Alt+F2.

There are also source ports that allow Save/Load with just the Esc key, for example https://dxx-redux.com

Thanks Arne. Alt+Fn+F2 worked!
I had to turn off the NVIDIA overlay as there was a conflict with the keybindings...
