Even Duke Nukem 3D recently had more updates to keep the game fresh and running.
Aside from the optional replacement soundtracks; Rebirth also has improved mouse support, support for newer graphics cards (and filtering features to make those old resources look better), and netcode that's compatible with systems newer than XP. Also you can run Rebirth natively, no need to run it through DOSBox.
As of right now there's no "remastered" soundtrack available. Only ogg recordings of the midi tracks on particular hardware.
