Eagerly awaiting this, It would be great to have the previews take brush rotation into account; IMO it's essential for being able to stamp intricate details.
Eg: since watching Wes's GDC livestream I've taken to importing custom masks into Painter and stamping them down on the height layer to create intricate detail. This is a bit clunky atm as I often need to rotate the brush angle to specific values and am forced to guess an approxmiate angular value without benefiting from any visual feedback.
(it also made clear how all the tools work together. btw, half of the unity videos apply in general, and the example is interesting as it uses a different workflow (painter first, designer second). i suggest to avoid labelling under unity, as many users who don't use unity may miss the videos).
Work even better if you can see the final preview while you are deploing the stroke.
A key modifier or a setting could enable size and angle snapping to be more precise.
