Substance Painter 1.x

Substance Painter 1.x

Statistiche:
Tri-planar projection on Generators
I was curious if this is possible, or will ever be implemented? I am using the MG Dirt generator on a unwrapped sphere and would like to get rid of my seam.

My current workaround is using a fill layer with a grunge mask applied. Thanks!

Hi,

The current build of the mask generators don't use triplanar. However, you can modify them in Substance Designer to use the triplanar node. You can find the source files here.

C:\Program Files\Allegorithmic\Substance Designer\5\resources\packages

For the MG Dirt, you can use the custom grunge option to feed in a new grunge map. Before you use the grunge map, you would process it through the triplanar node.

Cheers,

wes
Awesome! I will give that shot. Thanks Wes.
Hey Wes, I made the changes and tried to import my .sbsar into SP and get the following error "Cannot create resource "

Is it a Substance Designer 5 compatibility issue?

Hi,

Hmm, it should be working. The substance engine 5 is supported now. Can you send me the sbs? My email is wes.mcdermott@allegorithmic.com.

im having the same issue, just exporting an unmodified generator (so i know i wasnt screwing something up myself :P ) , was there a resolution/fix to this at all?

Here is a version that will work when you publish the sbsar from Designer.

Sorry to bring this post back to life, but I have this problem, as you can see here:

https://forum.allegorithmic.com/index.php?topic=12077.msg52599#msg52599

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks!
Checking that forum post, the author had an issue of the graph having it's Attribute>Output computation set to NO. Is this the same issue?

Cheers,
Wes
