Ambient occlusion not showing ?
Hi all , i purschased Substance indie pack some days ago , and im pretty stuck in some thing.
I imported an ambient occlusion map in substance painter , assigned it in the ambient occlusion slot in the additional maps , but it dont shows up on the 3D model in the viewer ..Did i do something wrong ?

also, same problem with the glossiness map , it doesnt show my gloss map in the viewer , and when i try to paint a gloss map it doesnt paint anything ...

Hi, I think you do notthing wrong, i do not see that too.. I prefer to use the AO as fill layer with multiply the color, that work for me.

mhhhh thanks for you answer , that is actually the same thing i did ( putting the ao as fill layer ) . It is for me one of the basic things that chould be fixed i hope :/

The AO you use in the additional maps is used to calculate substance effects, it's then up to you if you want to use the AO in your texturing and how you want to use it.

Why not simply having an option that shows the AO directly , like for the normal map ?

As a work around for now, you can add the AO map as a fill layer base color and set it to multiply to apply AO as you work.
