Alternately, before this update I was able to drag and drop individual 'panes' of the Shelf and move them around. Now I cannot click and drag any of them, and it seems that I am stuck in a 3-window motif for the Shelf.
Yes, this has been removed in the latest build, but it is being re-worked and will update again before final release.
2: At one point, it appears that you were able to right-click inside of the Material Presets window after creating new presets to save the library. Unfortunately, right-clicking appears to do nothing anywhere and no menus appear.
The library is saved when you create the preset. If you make changes, you can right-click the preset and choose update from current tool.
1: I've created some stencils with different logos and such, and they are multi-color based. Is there a way to use the diffuse of a stencil to paint the color that's in the stencil on to the model?
The Stencil on the brush is just an additional screen space mask. It will not paint color. To use the logo, you would need to use the Stencil Tool and then add your logo image to the Base Color - uniform color slot.
Cheers,
Wes
Thank you for the response.
I was hoping for a workaround until a tool's rotation can be visualized prior to 'stamping' it down. I understand this feature is coming though.
The Update from Current Tool feature is precisely what I was looking for!
You guys are doing a smashing job. Keep up the great work!
Thanks very much! And thank you for the feedback and support. That will help us make Substance Painter grow.
Cheers,
Wes
